Another of Joe's acquaintances: The movie theater where Joe worked through the afternoon of the 1990's provided a wealth of characters and material to consider for his work. In this case, it was a promise he made to a technologically brilliant, chronically mischievous young co-worker that Joe would portray him one day, dressed as a mime on the back of an ass. He made good on that promise.

Paintings
The foundation of Joe's work. In painting, Joe discovered the possibilities for visual communication and the greatest historical inspiration. His canvasses are largely earlier works, though he will return from time to time to paint on panels or found surfaces.
